Female hair loss treatments often vary from guys for several reasons. The drug Propecia, the primary prescription loss of hair treatment for men, is generally not as efficient in ladies. However, an Italian research study appeared to show some promise with it.

The study followed the experience of 37 women offered 2.5 mg of Propecia a day and the birth control pill.

As Propecia can trigger deformities in the development of a male fetus’ sex organs, Propecia can not be given to ladies who have a chance of conceiving or are pregnant.

Results were determined by taking images of the females’ heads and using a method called electronic light video dermoscopy to measure the density of hairs.

Women tend to have thinning hair when they suffer hair loss and do not frequently go bald.

After 12 months of treatment, 23 women (62%) had improvements in their hair thickness. Those women who had the most loss of hair down the middle of the top of the head showed the most enhancement. Only one woman was discovered to have worse hair loss.

However, more research studies on Propecia as a female hair loss treatment need to be conducted before it is okayed as a treatment option. Not only is there the problem of fetal damage, making it a dangerous drug for females, but this study is not definitive evidence that it will work for all, or many, females.

Usually, women are provided topical treatments like minoxidil to encourage hair development. Minoxidil has disadvantages in that it needs to be applied to the scalp twice a day, and some females are allergic to it. Researchers have not developed a hair loss medication that will work for women.

Another reason female hair treatments vary from males’ is that the reasons for female loss of hair typically differ. Hair loss in ladies is often connected with hormone changes like menopause, terminating contraceptive pill, and after pregnancy.

There is a three-month hold-up before signs of hair loss appear, so if you’re observing hair loss now, it was probably triggered three months earlier. And it can take another three months before brand-new development starts to reveal.

Another factor in the female loss of hair is extreme dieting or abrupt weight loss. Hair needs nutrients to grow just as any other part of the body does, What we consume can not only affect how glossy and healthy our hair appears, but likewise hair loss.

While males can suffer hair loss from similar weight reduction, females tend to be more involved with extreme diets than males.

Female hair loss can also indicate a medical condition, such as an underactive thyroid gland, diabetes, anemia, and PCOS. It’s a good idea to get these possible releases dismissed by a physician initially.

If they are at the root of the hair loss problem, no quantity of hair loss medications, topical treatments, or hair vitamins will stop the loss of hair until that is dealt with.

Hair loss brought on by physical or emotional tension usually occurs when the stressor is handled without any female hair loss treatment. But the hair’s development cycles can take six months before any improvement is noticed.

After 12 months of treatment, 23 ladies (62%) had enhancements in their hair thickness. Women with the most hair loss down the middle of the head showed the most enhancement. Just one woman was found to have even worse hair loss.

Generally, women are given topical treatments like minoxidil to encourage hair development. Scientists have not developed a hair loss medication that will work for females.
