Sigmund Freud, the Daddy of Psychoanalysis, came up with his theory of discussing the event of stress and anxiety, and depression as part of the human experience.

His explanation of this phenomenon traces its origin to the three divisions of the mind.

According to Freud, the human mind is divided into the id, ego, and superego. These three departments are only obtained eventually as an individual likewise grows. One should begin with the world and its elements to better understand the psyche and its three departments.

The world comprises many parts, and among those elements is the human organism. A human organism has a unique capability to endure and replicate, his assisting force being his needs, such as hunger, thirst, worry of pain, and sex. It should be kept in mind that these needs belong to an individual’s unconscious mind.

An individual’s mind is delicate to these needs and transforms them into instincts, drives, or desires. When an individual’s condition is not satisfied by the id, their requirement becomes stronger.

This part of the psyche is called the ego, and it relates a person’s awareness or truth. The reality concept is about the belief that the ego will respond to please the need as soon as it finds the suitable item to satisfy it.

Nevertheless, as the ego constantly reacts to an organism’s requirements, it often experiences challenges against obtaining its goals and things that help it achieve the objectives. The ego monitors these 2 kinds of aspects, particularly the benefits and penalties that are offered by two of the most influential persons in an organism’s life, their moms and dad.

The ego records about challenges to avoid and the techniques it needs to take are all passed onto the superego, the 3rd division of an individual’s psyche. Only when someone is around 5 or 7 years old does this part of the mind end up being total.

The superego is divided into two subparts, the conscience and the ego perfect. The conscience is the internalization of the penalties and the warnings, while the ego ideal is based upon the rewards and sound designs a person has experienced. The superego and its subparts communicate their requirements to the ego through feelings such as pity, regret, and pride.

Because of the presence of the superego, a person likewise gets a new set of needs along with wishes. These brand-new sets of requirements are based on social rather than biological origins. These unique desires originating from the superego often conflict with the dreams of the id, frequently leaving the ego overwhelmed or threatened.

This overloaded and threatened sensation of the ego is where stress and anxiety originate. According to Freud, there are three kinds of anxiety. The first kind is called sensible stress and anxiety, and it takes the type of human fears, which are effects of risks from the real world.

The second one is ethical stress and anxiety resulting from the danger that the ego perceives from the social world. It usually takes the type of feelings such as regret, pity, and worry of punishment. The third kind of stress and anxiety is called neurotic stress and anxiety, and it is a result of the fear of being overwhelmed by the impulses from the id.

For the ego to deal with these threats without feeling overwhelmed, it sometimes unconsciously obstructs the impulses or distorts them into more acceptable forms. This process of blocking and distorting is what Freud called a “defense mechanism.”

This occurs when a person feels negative impulses such as hatred, aggression, and anger toward others but displaces these impulses to one’s self. Freud further discusses anxiety results from anger that a person declines to acknowledge.

As increasingly more individuals nowadays experience issues with regardsregardir anxieties and anxiety, a much better understanding of these concepts from a Freudian perspective can assist in resolving them.

According to Freud, resolution can only be attained when a person is warned of those experiences or concepts in the unconscious and treatment is directed to the root of the problems most likely rooted in the unconscious.

It must be noted that these needs are part of a person’s unconscious mind.

An individual’s mind is sensitive to these requirements and transforms them into instincts, drives, or dreams. When a person’s condition is not pleased by the id, his or her need becomes stronger.

The conscience is the internalization of the penalties and the cautions, while the ego perfect is based on the benefits and sound designs an individual has come across. Since the existence of the superego, a person likewise gets a new set of needs and dreams.
