By some figures, 50 of cases, the cause of hair loss in females is because of androgenic alopecia, or female pattern baldness.

What is Female Loss Of Hair?

Female loss of hair is a hereditary condition inherited from either moms and dad. The genetically pretentious hair roots in ladies experiencing female loss of hair are susceptible to a byproduct of testosterone called dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, which triggers the hair roots to shed the regular hair and produce thinner, shorter, colorless hair.

This peach-fuzz hair makes the scalp look thinner, and with time, the miniaturized hair roots atrophy and pass away, causing permanent loss of hair called balding. There is no peach-fuzz hair in balding locations, and the scalp appears tight and shiny.

Baldness is an unalterable condition. When the hair follicle has atrophied, it is gone permanently. This would resemble losing any other body part, and considering that we are unable to recreate our body parts, there are no female loss of hair items or solutions that can require the body to produce a new hair follicle.

Reasons For Female Pattern Loss Of Hair

Women, just like guys, inherit the gene for thinning hair from either parent. In women, testosterone is produced in the adrenal glands and the ovaries. Testosterone gets transformed to DHT in a woman’s body, it can not cause female hair loss due to the protective effects of estrogen and progesterone.

These hormonal agents lower DHT production and block DHT’s accessory to the hair roots as long as they exist in adequate amounts. Any condition that can cause a decreased production of estrogen and progesterone or overproduction of DHT can cause thinning hair in genetically inclined ladies.

In women, hair loss can start at any age after adolescence, but for the most part it accompanies menopause. The typical production of female hormonal agents drops considerably during menopause, reducing a woman’s natural defense versus thinning hair.

Hair loss in pre-menopausal ladies indicates an irregular hormonal imbalance that requires medical examination and proper treatment.

In post-menopausal females, hormone replacement therapy brings back the regular hormonal levels and stops the process.

In cases where hormonal replacement treatment is not advised, the only other offered medical option is Rogaine 2%. Although Rogaine triggers the follicle’s development phase, it has no result on the DHT production that ultimately leads to hair-follicle atrophy.

As soon as the hair follicle has atrophied, it is gone forever. This would be comparable to losing any other body part, and considering that we are not able to reproduce our body parts, there are no female hair loss items or solutions that can require the body to produce a new hair follicle.

Ladies, just like men, acquire the gene for thinning hair from either parent. Testosterone gets converted to DHT in a female’s body, it can not cause female hair loss due to the protective effects of estrogen and progesterone.
